with ceramic sculpture. He is best known for his
unique 3D surface treatment, acrylic wash and
patinas on metal, which brings heightened surrealism
to his work.

Fabled adornment……

In a world of over consumption and
disposability we throw away the old or
damaged rather than reconsider it for further
utility.

The “Transformed Adornment” series attempts
to question ideas about value and materiality;
Transforming (or destroying) by embellishing
while celebrating its past.    The objects’
adornment grows out of the pieces linking then
back to thier decorative historical motifs of
acanthus.

These pieces try to finding beauty in the
overlooked and under appreciated through
representation in metal, while being a reminder
of the chaos that can occur when one does not
temper ideologies.
